Wiring method for pellet furnace motor
The wiring method of the pellet furnace motor needs to be distinguished according to the motor type (three-phase or single-phase) and power. The following are the key steps and precautions:
1、 Wiring method for three-phase motor
Selection of wiring method
High power motors of 132kW and above typically use star (Y) or delta (△) connections.
The star connection is suitable for scenarios with low starting current, while the triangle connection is suitable for high load operation. When wiring, the U1/V1/W1 windings inside the motor should be short circuited to the neutral point (star) or directly connected to a three-phase power supply (delta)
Wiring steps
Power off operation: Cut off the power and verify the electricity to ensure safety
Terminal identification: The motor wiring terminals are marked as U, V, W, corresponding to the three-phase winding
Phase line differentiation: Typically, the U phase is red/yellow, the V phase is green/blue, and the W phase is black/brown, but the actual terminal markings should be used as a reference
2、 Wiring method for single-phase motor
Power requirements
Small particle furnaces (such as 125 and 150 models) may use single-phase electricity, and it is necessary to ensure that the power cord is not less than 4 square copper wires and connected to an air switch instead of a plug-in board to avoid overload.
Steering inspection
After wiring, the motor direction needs to be tested. If it reverses, the positions of any two phase wires need to be swapped.
3、 Safety precautions
Grounding protection: The motor casing must be reliably grounded separately to avoid the risk of leakage
Insulation inspection: If the power line is damaged or the terminal is loose, it needs to be replaced immediately to prevent short circuits
Protective measures: Install a protective cover after wiring is completed to avoid contact with moving parts during operation
4、 Common problem handling
Grinding disc blockage: The machine needs to be stopped for cleaning to avoid damage to the motor caused by forced operation.
Controller connection: Priority should be given to plug connectors with pre marked line sequence to reduce wiring errors.
